Actually, Conversation Pieces are for any time of year, for any occasion, because you can write whatever you want, whenever you want, using a dry erase marker. But it’s almost Christmas season, so, that’s why, in this case, it’s perfect for Christmas. You can get this piece on my ETSY STORE.

Maine Comic Arts Festival Photos
Wow. What a great event. Rick Lowell pulled off another excellent festival. Very talented cartoonists out there. And a huge crowd to see it all. Many more than last year!
My thanks to all the people who bought the Conversation Pieces. I appreciate it, and enjoy.

Maine Comic Arts Festival Sunday
Please stop by the Comic Arts Festival on Sunday. I’ll be there with over 100 other cartoonists. There will be panel discussions, great graphic novels, t-shirts, books, cartoons and who knows what else. Oh, and my Conversation Pieces will be for sale. Like last year, I’ll be next to my two friends, MIke Lynch, and John Klossner.

New Installation at Art Center
I just installed this piece at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, Maine. They created this gift shop/ coffee bar area this year, and this will be in there for this season, which runs through September.
It’s a great space. Bright, colorful wall, and visible as soon as you walk into the art center.
These Conversation Pieces are a collaboration with a poet I met at the Belfast Poetry Festival last year. She came up with the words, and I made the pieces. The words are what could be the possible first line of a possible poem. The viewer can mix and match the words in any order they want.

What a Show!
Wow. was that fun. Great turnout at the Big Thaw craft show in Portland. Here’s my table with the bud vases, bowls and platters. Sold a lot of glass, but what I’m most excited about is that people bought my Conversations Pieces. ( On the right hand corner of the table) And kids were drawing on them all throughout the show. Just what I wanted to happen.
Got a chance to meet some of the other people who sold their crafts there. I had seen a lot of their work on Etsy, but it looked better, of course, in real life.
And thanks to everyone for the wonderful feedback about my glass work. Really appreciate it. A great way to start off the spring/summer season.

Glass Cartoon Word Balloons
I call these word balloons Conversation PIeces(tm) . They’re blank, white glass and you can write on them with dry erase markers. Say anything you want, as often as you want. They erase very easily. Draw pictures, leave messages. Put them in your office, hang them in your room. There’s a hole in the back for easy hanging.
Check them out on my Etsy store, or my website.

Glass Dog-Themed Word Balloons
Your dog will love these. And you will, too, though he is more important.
I placed them near my dog, Willie’s, food bowl, but you can put them near your dogs bed, or favorite chair, or wherever.
I think they’re a lot of fun.
Next up will be Bad Dog, Fetch, Roll Over.
It’s endelss, really, since I can put any word on these.
These are handblown by me in the Portland studio.
