Fused Murrini Bowl In All Sorts of Colors. Wild.

I enjoy putting all of these colors together.  It’s like assembling a painting.  Some of these glass tiles (murrini) are made up of opaque glass and transparent glass, allowing the light to shine through in certain areas.  You can see the reflection of the light on the table.

First, I fuse all of these tiles together, and then the next day, after it has cooled, I place it on a mold in this bowl shape, heat the glass, and allow it to slump into the mold.

This piece is about 13 inches long, 8 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
